Rumor Report: ECHL’s San Francisco Bulls Going Under

During recent ECHL mid-season meetings, the San Francisco Bulls were granted an extension to complete negotiations transferring the Bulls to a new ownership group. It looks as though their time has run out.

We learned today from an ECHL source that the Bulls are in fact going under. It is expected that more information will be released this afternoon.

The Bulls, an affiliate to both the Worcester and San Jose Sharks, currently sit in fourth place in the Pacific Division with a 15-20-4 record. The west coast team was founded back in 2011 and were the first ice hockey team to represent San Francisco, since the San Francisco Spiders of the IHL went under back in 1996.

Stay tuned for more information that is developing with this story.
