It was a great Sunday for Kristers Gudlevskis and the Syracuse Crunch as they managed to shutout the Adirondack Phantoms 3-0 at the Glen Falls Civic Center.

Gudlevskis stopped 31 shots, giving him his 5th shutout of the season, and is now tied With Jake Allen from the Chicago Wolves for the league lead in the category. The win also ended the Crunch’s four game losing streak, and improved their record to 25-29-4-6.

The Phantoms failed to capitalize on eight power play opportunities, and goalie Cal Heeter made 25 saves on 28 shots. The Syracuse Crunch had a season high of 77 penalty minutes, while the Phantoms tallied 66.

The Crunch will have their next battle against the St. John’s IceCaps on March 26, 2014, at home in Syracuse at 7:00 pm.
