Beyond The Benches

Jagr Is Back For Now

The legendary Jaromir Jagr‘s reign down at the Florida Panthers will continue as the franchise announced he has signed a one-year contract extension.

Jagr can definitely be credited with giving a presence to the franchise as he has been said to be mentoring forwards Johnathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov. Jagr will be the National Hockey Leagues oldest active player coming in at 45-years-old next season. This no doubt credited to his intense work ethic as he is known for especially after a tweet about his fitness regime.

Reported by Sportsnet, Jagr’s base salary will be $4 million with a potential in $1.5 million for bonuses.
