ECHL Lands NHL 17 Deal

EA Sports has just given a whole new life to it’s NHL 17’s game by including a few new faces to it’s video franchise. The additions include the World Cup and ECHL rosters.

“We are very excited to be working with EA SPORTS and include the ECHL Teams in the NHL franchise,” said Ryan Crelin, Senior Vice President of Business Operations of the ECHL, per the ECHL’s press release. “The NHL 17 product is an amazing gaming experience, and we are pleased to be able to allow our fans to engage with their favorite ECHL Club or Player within the game, interacting with our League beyond the in-arena experience.”

The Detroit Red Wings ECHL affiliate the Toledo Walleye is already taking steps to improve it’s functions throwing out a hopeful cheat code implantation idea.

As the goal to grow the game continues the ECHL addition will be a new added bonus for hockey fans of the league. The full release and information about NHL 17’s features can be found here.
