Blue Jackets Grow The Game

The Columbus Blue Jackets provide more than just an on ice experience by immersing themselves into the community with the attempt at growing the game. One of the team’s initiatives is to give kids the opportunity to pick up a pair of skates, put on some equipment and grab a stick with the camps that are offered with the Columbus Ice Hockey Club.  The Club is a member of the NHL’s Hockey is for Everyone program that gives non-profit youth hockey organizations the support and programming they need to offer kids of all backgrounds the chance to get out on the ice.

Cailyn, CBJ Kids Camper, was given the opportunity to take her entire family out on the ice after she fell in love with the game after attending her first Jackets game last season that was presented by the Blue Jackets on Friday.

Hockey is for Everyone is an initiative is supported by NHL member clubs, players, NHL alumni, and fans. To date Hockey is for Everyone has exposed close to 45,000 boys and girls to unique hockey experiences.
