Sullivan Talks Game 4 Starting Goaltender

After a Game 3 loss to the Ottawa Senators Wednesday night Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan wasn’t ready to commit to a starting goalie for Game 4 after pulling starting netminder Marc-Andre Fleury.

“It’s always a hard decision-it’s a good hard decision because we have two really good goalies,” Sullivan said in a press conference.

Matt Murray stepped in for Fleury 12:52 into the first period after the Senators took a commanding four goal lead.

“I think we have loyalty to our whole group, not to any one guy,” Sullivan said on the process of selecting the Game 4 starting goaltender.

Fleury can rebound as shown after a 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals in Game 6 of the second round, he lead the Penguins to a 2-0 win for Game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 4 is tonight starting with coverage starting at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, CBC and TVA Sports.
