Senators Part Ways With Neil

The Ottawa Senators and Chris Neil have officially parted ways according to general manager Pierre Dorion.

Neil saw limited ice time this last season, only recording 53 games played. Neil was drafted by the Senators in 2001 and has never played a game in a different NHL jersey.

Over his career, Neil has recorded 1,026 games with the Sens, more than any other skater.

“Chris to me represents everything that ¬†people would want our organization to be: his character, his leadership, his grit, what he’s ready to sacrifice, what he’s been able to do for his teammates,” said Dorion in his media interview.

It has not been released if Neil will play for another franchise after leaving the organization.
